Time to Recover

October 2016

Natalie is a hardworking mother who is dedicated to helping her children succeed. After experiencing tough times in her life, she earned her GED and found a job as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Striving to provide more for her children, Natalie decided to pursue certification to be an EKG Technician and Phlebotomist. She was proud of the life she was able to provide for her children.

However, when Natalie found out she needed to have a surgery to remove a growth on her cervix and would have to miss two months of work she was unsure if she would be able to continue to provide support for her five school-aged children and young grandchild.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s Bridges program provided assistance with rent and utilities for the two months Natalie had to miss work. Without the help of generous donors like you, Natalie was in jeopardy of facing eviction. The bills would have piled up and the progress she had made would have been erased.
