Support Our Mission
Founded in 1833, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul enjoys a longevity that is special among nonprofits—and with good reason. The Society’s model of person-to-person service established by our founder Blessed Frédéric Ozanam is totally unique. It offers a dual benefit: the poor feel the love and compassion of humanity along with the assistance they receive. And the volunteer, witnessing the challenges of the less fortunate and their strength to persevere, is inspired to greater involvement and spiritual growth.
The Society is an international agency organized at the local level. We believe that Helping neighbors starts at home. We collaborate with other people of good will in relieving need and addressing its causes, making no distinction in those served because, in them, Vincentians see the face of Christ. Won’t you help us make a difference in the local communities in the St. Louis region?
