Support Us
There are many ways to support the mission of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul-through financial gifts, donating goods, or shopping at our thrift stores. Each act of generosity helps provide direct assistance to neighbors in need throughout our local communities.
Since 1845 in St. Louis, Vincentians have served those facing hardship through personal, face-to-face encounters-listening with compassion and responding with practical help. Because of this support, individuals and families are able to regain stability through essentials such as food, clothing, shelter, utilities, and other critical needs.

POLICY FOR ACCEPTING DONATED ITEMS
Help Us Provide a Dignified Experience for Our Neighbors
These guidelines help us honor the dignity of our neighbors and ensure donated items can be safely and effectively used to support our mission.
To ensure everyone who shops with us has a positive and respectful experience, we ask that all donated furniture be clean, gently used, and in good condition. We do not accept items with pet hair, dirt, dust, rips, stains, burns, odors, peeling, cracking, or broken parts.
For wood furniture, please ensure pieces are free from excessive scratches, chips, watermarks, or bubbling. All hardware should be present, functional, and undamaged. Wood pieces must also meet our size guidelines, with a maximum size of 6 feet high by 6 feet long.
For pickup, please place your furniture donation at ground level, either in front of your home/building on a paved pathway or inside a garage that’s free of obstacles. This ensures a quick and safe pickup process.
Before accepting items, our drivers will do a brief inspection to ensure everything meets our guidelines. Thank you for helping us serve our neighbors with dignity!
