Feed & Clothe
One of Jesus’ greatest proclamations is to serve the poor. Matthew 25: 35-36 states “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” The Society of St. Vincent de Paul adheres to this verse by helping to provide the most basic needs of living to our Neighbors in Need.
Food Distribution
During face-to-face home visits, Vincentians deliver food to those who, for a variety of reasons, aren’t able to get it for themselves. For those who can leave their homes, many of St. Vincent de Paul’s 140 conferences operate food pantries. Donations from food drives organized by schools, parishes, and workplaces and direct donations from local supermarkets provide food for those in need.
Thrift Store
St. Vincent de Paul thrift stores accept donations of new and lightly used clothing to sell at affordable prices. Clothing at our thrift stores comes in styles and sizes for people of all ages. Vincentians provide apparel to low-income individuals and families in need of clean and adequate clothes.
