SVdP Sunday and Recruitment Resources
SVdP Sunday Checklist
SVdP Sunday is Sunday, November 2—and it’s a great opportunity to honor our Vincentian vocation and invite others into the mission, growing in holiness through service to those in Need.
SVdP Sunday gives your parish a chance to reflect on our call to serve those in need, give visibility to the mission recruit new members and collect donations for your Conference.
To help your Conference prepare, here’s a quick checklist:
✅ If you haven't already, schedule your pulpit talk(s) with your Parish Pastor or Mass coordinator. Be sure to confirm your place on the calendar soon. Click here for a sample pulpit talk. Customize the talk to fit your SVdP Sunday activities. You may want to add a short story of how SVdP helped a Neighbor.
✅ Choose your speaker(s) – this could be a Vincentian sharing a personal story, or someone who has been impacted by SVdP’s work.
✅ Submit a bulletin announcement to your parish office. Keep it short and inspiring—something that invites parishioners to learn more or get involved. Click here for a sample bulletin announcement. Customize it for your activities.
✅ You might plan a meet and greet or coffee and donuts gathering after Mass. It’s a great way to connect with potential new volunteers and share what SVdP is all about. Invite parishioners to join.
✅ Request SVdP yard signs if you’d like to help promote the event on parish grounds or at your gathering. Supplies are limited—contact Steve Rupp ([email protected]) soon to reserve yours. Supply is limited.
SVdP Sunday is a simple but powerful way to build awareness, strengthen your Conference, and bring new energy into the mission. Let's make it the best yet!
